Kayla Kase, Swim Instructor
Kayla has always had a love for swimming. At age 15, Kayla became a lifeguard and began teaching swim lessons and has continued ever since. Kayla’s most memorable swimming experience was swimming all four years on the Varsity Harrison High School Swim Team. Through having the experience of coaching and teaching swim lessons in middle and high school, Kayla found a love for teaching children, so she decided to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. During college, Kayla went on a mission trip to teach English and pre-school in China. Kayla graduated from Georgia College and State University in May 2010 with a B.S. in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, she went and taught English in Peru and pre-school in Tahoe City, California. In addition to swimming, Kayla loves to volunteer with the youth at West Ridge Church, run, play tennis, snow ski, wake board and spend time with her friends and family. Kayla is the Lead Pre-K Teacher at Sunbrook Academy at Stilesboro, in Acworth.
Kayla lives in Cartersville with her husband Brian. She and holds a current American Red Cross Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED certification. Kayla is best known for her patience and ability to teach any child at any swimming level to improve their abilities and help them to become strong, confident swimmers. She desires for everyone, no matter their age, to feel comfortable and safe in the water.
